Tensions in the town of northwestern Myanmar, after the crowd of Buddhists burned two houses owned for Muslims.

He said Win Mpaynj, a spokesman for the government in the troubled Rakhine State, if the unrest began in the coastal town of Thandwe on Saturday, after the Buddhist told police that he was subjected to verbal abuse from the owner of a shop of Muslims.

The police took a Muslim man for questioning, but when it was released, angered Buddhists and started throwing stones at his home, the spokesman added that at least two houses burned overnight Sunday.

Myanmar has seen, a country predominantly Buddhists, sectarian violence since June last year, which killed 250 people, mostly Muslims.
