To Mali to help train troops there.
Hammond said, in an official statement today, "Wednesday", said that 21 soldiers from the First Division arrived yesterday to Mali, stressing that his country will not send any combat troops there.
He added: "Through this task we will work to support the government in Mali to fight the insurgency, and the impact on their country and which also pose a threat to national interests in the United Kingdom."
It is the decision, that the British forces to provide training for forces in Mali under the control of French troops currently stationed there.
Hammond concluded his remarks, saying: "More than 200 of the British Armed Forces instructors, will be sent on a mission to Mali, as well as important to support these forces and provide protection for up to 500 soldiers from the Member States of the European Union."
