Human Rights Council expressed in the United Nations on Friday, "his deep concern at the situation" of human rights in Iran and decided to extend the mandate of the Special decision in this country.
The Council adopted a resolution introduced by Sweden in this regard, with a majority of 26 votes to two opposition (Pakistan and Venezuela), with 17 countries abstaining.
The Council resolution expresses deep concern about the situation, which touched him in the last report Ahmed Shaheed, who has emphasized that Iran has experienced during 2012, "a significant increase" in serious human rights violations executed about 500 people and many cases of torture and acts of violence against detainees.

Tehran believes that the mandate of the Special Rapporteur "politicized" and extended "not justified".
