The foreign ministers of France and Vietnam stress the importance of enhancing joint cooperation




Met French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius Wednesday with his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Binh Minh, who is currently visiting Paris.

The two ministers said in a joint statement issued at the end of their talks on the need to work to strengthen the cooperation relations between the two countries in various fields, pointing to the importance of the "Year of France and Vietnam," which will be launched officially in the ninth of April next Hanoi.

The Fabius and Minh that season French in Vietnam this year, and season Vietnam in France, will be an opportunity to deepen relations between the two communities and governments, especially in the fields of politics, economy, industry, security, culture, education, health, science and language teaching.

The statement pointed out that the strategic partnership between the two countries aimed at strengthening relations of cooperation based on trust in the political, defense, economic and security, and enhance coordination to promote a global partnership and cooperation between Vietnam and the EU, as well as to intensify consultations and coordination in international organizations and forums, and the rule of law and human rights , and according to the spirit of dialogue between the EU and Vietnam.
